BMW will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2016 and rumour has it that the German automaker may launch a plug-in hybrid supercar to rival the Porsche 918 Spyder and others. It would likely be based on the upcoming i8, but so much more powerful.
According to Auto Moto Und Sport, the BMW i9 could sprint from 0-100 km/h in under four seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h. Just like the i8, it would achieve a perfect 50/50 weight distribution.
BMW has yet to confirm these reports, of course, so let's be patient.
